Chess is a wonderful ancient board game that will test your thinking abilities. It has been a favourite game that children have played all over the world for many years. New and existing players can start learning at this club. Did you know chess can also improve your calculating ability, make you more imaginative, creative, and self-motivated!

Playing darts is a perfect low-intensity sport for anyone. It can help to sharpen reflexes and develop hand-eye coordination. Playing darts requires participants to maintain higher levels of focus and concentration and, as it is a numbers game, everyone who plays darts will improve their numeracy skills. When playing dominoes, children must pay attention to detail, match patterns correctly, and sequence to win the game. Above all else, it is great fun!

Mr Moscrop

Join the magical world of maths games where the children will have the opportunity to build strategic thinking and improve their problem solving skills. The children will participate in a wide range of games from around the world which will involve counting, pattern matching, sequencing and visual perception. The children will have lots of fun as they encounter some of the most famous games from around the globe.

Following on from the ongoing success of Dance Fit, Nicole Frost continues to lead this enrichment. Dance Fit is a fun easy-to-follow dance workout to a wide range of music. The routines consist of dance, toning and combat moves. Disco lights and props will also be used in some sessions. As well as learning routines from Nicole participants will get a chance to choreograph their own routines using a variety of fun methods. To cover Nicole's costs, there will be a charge of £39 for the thirteen sessions up to the end of the February half term; this will be added to your Fee Note.

Join Miss Norbury to use your artistic skills to create seasonal masterpieces inspired by well known artists such as Paul Klee, Leonid Afremov and William Morris. The children will use a variety of mediums to create a firework explosion, autumnal themed leaf art, frosty scenes you'll want to cover your walls with and of course we will be getting into the Christmas spirit too! Bring yourself and an art apron and unleash your creativity.

Miss Norbury

Get together with friends to enjoy some of your favourite board games or develop self-confidence and have fun role-playing, creating, performing and participating in drama games, freeze frames etc. These activities will alternate each week between board games and drama. There will even be the opportunity to design and make your own games.

Our Wizard of Oz rehearsals begin in earnest and we would like all Junior pupils in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 to stay for this enrichment if possible, in order to begin to learn the show songs and story ready for auditions just before Christmas. All Key Stage 2 children will be involved and need to know the show songs so we would like as many children as possible to join this enrichment.

Cosy Club offers children the opportunity to reflect on their week in a calm, supportive environment. Mrs Cairns

Hama Beads are small plastic beads used for fun art projects. The traditional way to use Hama Beads is by placing them one-by-one onto the pegs of a Hama Pegboard. Once the desired pattern is created, and every bead is beside another, the design is then fused together using special paper and an iron. As well as experimenting with Hama Beads (which are also fabulous for developing fine motor control), the children will also have opportunities to explore a range of other crafts.

Mrs Johnston

Choral Singing for all unchanged voices. A mixture of lighter and more serious works changing with the seasons with a view to performances in and out of school.
