Languages are the bedrock of the world’s cultural heritage. Every language offers a rich and unique insight into different ways of thinking and living as well as into the cultures of people across the globe. Did you know that Polish is now the most commonly spoken non-native language in England and Wales? Delivered by a native speaker, Polish Language Club will introduce aspects of the Polish language and culture to pupils aged 6 –11. Pupils can learn how to greet a friend in Polish, try traditional Polish food, get creative making paper cut-outs, and find out about many aspects of Polish culture by using our wide range of classroom resources and activities.This enrichment will help pupils develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of the rich language, geography and culture of Poland.

Cookery Club - Cookery club enables you to develop basic cooking skills and create a range of tasty treats to take home. We will learn about nutrition, flavour, recipes, safety and creativity all in our brand new Stobo kitchen facilities.There will be a one off charge of £10 for the ingredients for these sessions; this will be added to your Fee Note.

This enrichment is open to both boys and girls in Years 3 to Year 6. Each week pupils will learn and practise new athletic skills in preparation for Sports Day.

Specialist tennis coaching is available this term. Learn the correct technique for all the tennis shots with Hazel Ward, LTA Coach. Please note that there will be a charge of £6 per session for this activity which will be added to your fee note.

The children will learn a variety of skills including how to make a clear and efficient call to emergency services and the concepts of basic first-aid e.g. dealing with common injuries, including head injuries. This enrichment session could lead to gaining a St John's Ambulance First Aid Award certificate.

Rounders is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams. Rounders is a striking and fielding team game that involves hitting a small, hard, leather-cased ball with a wooden, plastic, or metal bat that has a rounded end. The players score by running around the four bases on the field.

Following on from previous successes... 'Nerf Wars' returns!. It does exactly what it says on the tin...except in a safe and controlled environment. Pupils will battle it out using Nerf guns in a number of competitive arenas, capture the flag, team-strike match, king/queen of the castle are to name but a few of the weekly games. Note: Safety goggles will be supplied by the school. Children must provide their own Nerf Guns. This is a contact sport!

Now that we have allocated the main roles for our Wizard of Oz show, we would like the main cast only (those with speaking/singing parts) to attend this rehearsal session each Wednesday Children required each week: Felicity, Aida, Hattie, Marlowe, Alice, Ailie, Phoebe, Jessica, Ben, Harry. Other characters will be called each week depending upon the scene being rehearsed but should choose a different Wednesday evening enrichment.

Come and form the band that will provide the music for school Ceilidhs. Think traditional folk band with added drums and bass, Blazin' Fiddles style! Mr Massie leads the dancing and we lead the music. Ideal for flute, violin, piano, guitar, ukulele, penny whistle, clarinet, saxophone, drums, cello, glockenspiel ... in fact, any instrument!

As the Stobo show draws ever nearer (just a few weeks away) Mrs Skeen and Miss Coulson need as many of the J3-J6 children as possible to stay for this enrichment which will take place on stage in the Chapel. This is now the time where dance routines are choreographed, positioning on stage takes place and actions and prop use to really bring the show to life begins.

A chance to be inventive using the composition facilities on the Music Room computers. Additionally, we will study the theory of Music as part of this enrichment. This is for those studying music at GCSE or involved with ABRSM music exams.

In Lego Club this spring term we encourage children to use the Brick It! App to create unique constructions with Lego bricks. It allows users to scan their loose Lego pieces, identify them, and receive building suggestions based on the bricks they have. The goal is to transform the way children think about bricks by providing step-by-step instructions for various models. This term we will explore themes including adventures, amazing mazes and transportation. At the end of each theme children will have an opportunity to unlock their creativity by producing their own animation with the Stop Motion Studio app.

Each week we will alternate between outdoor art and craft activities one week, and outdoor games the next. It could be relay races, Hide and Seek, traditional playground games or games in the woods. Activities each week for all to enjoy in our beautiful school grounds.

Choral Singing for all unchanged voices. A mixture of lighter and more serious works changing with the seasons with a view to performances in and out of school.

Learn how to amaze your friends and family with a range of impressive magic tricks. From close-up sleight of hand, through to larger scale stage magic, this enrichment will build towards a performance featuring you as the star magician!
