Aimed at the students who have been fast tracked into the Upper 6 Maths. This will enable them to fill the gap of the Mechanics and Statistics. U6 students can attend also for a refresher!

Pupils will work on the rebuild of a kit car which was first built over 40 years ago and is now in need of restoration . Pupils will get the opportunity to understand how the brakes, suspension, engine and wiring work, rebuilding each part in turn.

Come along and explore the weird and wonderful world of RPGs, a different kind of game where players use their imagination and storytelling abilities to explore other worlds. Perfect for fans of The Lord of the Rings, Earthsea, or other 'sword and sorcery' settings, we will be playing Basic Fantasy Role Play to explore dangerous quests, fight monsters and search for hidden treasure.

Your opportunity to get involved with some of the STEM outreach activities that we can offer as a school. This year we plan to attend Bang Goes the Borders at St Mary's school in Melrose on 20th September. We may attend Celebrate Science in Durham during the half term holiday. I would like to enter a team for 'Pitch for the Planet' by Project Earth. We need to look at expanding our astronomy offering at LTS and I would love for pupils to get involved. Finally, there are various opportunities in school for young scientists to take on a mentoring role for our younger pupils in the junior department.
