Explore the battlefields of the Mortal Realms during the Age of Sigmar: Games Workshop's Fantasy strategy game. Participants are advised to bring their own Spearhead box army and rulebook but battlefields and scenery are supplied. Box sets can be borrowed from Mr Bentley upon request.

Archery is the art, sport, practice or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically called an archer.

Pupils will work on the rebuild of a kit car which was first built over 40 years ago and is now in need of restoration . Pupils will get the opportunity to understand how the brakes, suspension, engine and wiring work, rebuilding each part in turn.

This year we plan to attend Bang Goes the Borders at St Mary's school in Melrose on 20th September. We may attend Celebrate Science in Durham during the half term holiday. I would like to enter a team for 'Pitch for the Planet' by Project Earth. We need to look at expanding our astronomy offering at LTS and I would love for pupils to get involved. Finally, there are various opportunities in school for young scientists to take on a mentoring role for our younger pupils in the junior department.
