In Outdoor Learning this year we'll be working towards the John Muir Award - a nationally recognised award that encourages everyone to get out into nature, enjoy it and help look after wild places. The award is based around four challenges: Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share. Throughout the year, you'll be doing Outdoor Learning activities that help you complete these challenges. But if you want to earn the full award, you'll also need to do some independent research during Enrichments. You'll choose someone who inspires you; someone who has made a positive difference to wild places. It could be a well known environmentalist, someone from the past, or even a local person making a difference right now. This person should inspire others through what they've said, done, or achieved, encouraging people to care for the natural world. They can come from any background, and could be just like you! To help you get the award we're running a special Enrichment session where you can research your chosen person and share what you've learned. Make sure you sign up so you don’t miss out!
