Evening Activities

Learn jewellery making skills including creating pieces using found objects like sea glass.

Avoid the cold, wet, dark evenings and join your friends in the library and try and complete a 1,000 piece jigsaw.


Mrs Gettins

Free introductory lessons to start playing the trumpet. An instrument will be on loan for this term to practise and therefore numbers are very limited. It is expected that those that take the opportunity will consider taking up lessons in the normal way in September when this enrichment will NOT be continuing.


Dr Hardy

Come along and explore the weird and wonderful world of RPGs, a different kind of game where players use their imagination and storytelling abilities to explore other worlds. Perfect for fans of Stranger Things, this game features characters who are kids, and who ride bikes, as they explore mysterious events happening in their town.

An opportunity to enjoy a good game of Rounders.

Read all about it! Be part of a team responsible for producing an independent newspaper for LTS - by the pupils and for the pupils. Every element of the newspaper will be driven by you - the layout, content, production, and all editorial decisions. This is a chance for you to be part of a new and exciting element of school life, and to learn skills that can lead to a range of careers after school too. Please sign up to all school newspaper enrichment slots if possible.

Evening Activities

Archery is the art, sport, practice or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically called an archer.

Practice and develop your running skills ready for Sports Day.


Mr Gunn

A relaxed session where pupils can chill out and be creative. Drawing, sketching, writing etc.. Anything is possible when the creative juices are flowing! We will take it outside and enjoy the grounds when it's warm and sunny, or in class when not so pleasant outside. Also, an opportunity to make new friends and have a chat.

Reserved for our students who participated in our Berwick Documentary Photography lunctime enrichment last half term, this enrichment will see us explore how to select images and edit, creating a consistent visual story.

Mr. Westthorp will be opening the workshop for you to make use of the various tools. If you have an idea for a project and you can draw a picture of it, then come along and make it.

How does an engine work? What should you be doing to maintain your car? What can you do yourself, rather than pay lots of money to a garage? Why not join our car experts Mr Bankier and Mr Mulholland and get to grips with the tools and knowledge to get the job done?

Come and form the band that will provide the music for school Ceilidhs. Think traditional folk band with added drums and bass, Blazin' Fiddles style! Mr Massie leads the dancing and we lead the music. Ideal for flute, violin, piano, guitar, ukulele, penny whistle, clarinet, saxophone, drums, cello, glockenspiel ... in fact, any instrument!

A small group where we can come together and create our own stories, get help, hints and tips with creative writing.. maybe even share them with each other.

The GSA (Gender and Sexual Orientation Alliance), is a group that provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ young people and allies. We'll set goals for the group, look back at LGBTQ+ history, learn about making zines, and look at self care and allyship.

Italian is a beautiful language which is very easy to learn, particularly if you're studying French or Spanish. There is also a lot to find out about Italy and Italian culture.

Join us during enrichment for a quiet, peaceful art experience. Complete your own art, illustrate your own story, try to draw like an anime artist!

Chess players are invited to come along and get ready to participate in U19 tournaments in the North-East England competitions. All levels welcome.

A chance to be inventive using the composition facilities on the Music Room computers. Additionally, we will study the theory of Music as part of this enrichment. This is for those studying music at GCSE or involved with ABRSM music exams.
