Come and get creative, making beautiful pictures using a wide range of materials. These pictures will be transient meaning that they will only last for a short while- quick take a picture and then begin something new! We will be using natural objects that we collect outside, as well as loose parts and everyday objects, to create landscapes, objects and patterns. The only limit is your imagination!
Gardening club- outdoor fun for all! In the gardening club we will be taking care of our outdoor areas, keeping the beds and pots neat and tidy and well stocked. We will be learning all about garden habitats and making things to encourage different species into our garden.

Kwik Cricket is a high-speed version of cricket aimed mainly at encouraging children to take part in the sport, with an emphasis on participation and enjoyment.

Following on from previous successes... 'Nerf Wars' returns!. It does exactly what it says on the tin...except in a safe and controlled environment. Pupils will battle it out using Nerf guns in a number of competitive arenas, capture the flag, team-strike match, king/queen of the castle are to name but a few of the weekly games. Note: Safety goggles will be supplied by the school. Children must provide their own Nerf Guns. This is a contact sport!
In Quiz and Puzzle club, children will have a chance to test and enhance their general knowledge. We will have a weekly quiz where children will play in teams or individually. The children will also get a chance to solve logic puzzles and work out lateral thinking problems.
Rounders is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams. Rounders is a striking and fielding team game that involves hitting a small, hard, leather-cased ball with a wooden, plastic, or metal bat that has a rounded end. The players score by running around the four bases on the field.
The school's instrumental ensemble playing a range of music from ceilidh to classical. Aimed at those having instrumental lessons, although pianists will need to be flexible about what they play as we do not have an unlimited number of pianos.

We will design and construct using a variety of materials from Lego and sticklebricks to cardboard and natural materials. Working both independently and in small teams the children will use their creativity and imagination to build in the classroom and using the school grounds.
Take to the stage to perform some favourite traditional tales and learn some poems to delight any audience.
Get involved with exploring the history of the School grounds, from the Iron Age to the present day. We will be mostly outdoors, doing small digs and using a metal detector. Any finds will be researched and added to the history of Longridge.
Archery is the art, sport, practice or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically called an archer.
Otherwise known as the ASC Scheme, Adventure Service Challenge is a three-fold, integrated, interwoven scheme of activity for young people aged 8 to 14 years and beyond. It offers activities of:- ADVENTURE: Discovery, exploration, leisure pursuits, attitudes to and skills for life; SERVICE: Concern for others, opportunities for helping those in need; CHALLENGE: A comprehensive and complete training programme. The ASC scheme is designed to prepare young people for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. In fact, the DoE Award HQ recommends ASC for that purpose.
This enrichment is open to both boys and girls in Years 3 to Year 6. Each week pupils will learn and practise new athletic skills in preparation for Sports Day.

Following on from the success of Dance Fit last half term, Nicole Frost returns to school to lead this enrichment again. Dance Fit is a fun easy-to-follow dance workout to a wide range of music. The routines consist of dance, toning and combat moves. Disco lights and props will also be used in some sessions. As well as learning routines from Nicole participants will get a chance to choreograph their own routines using a variety of fun methods. To cover Nicole's costs, there will be a charge of £30 for the ten sessions up to the end of the summer term; this will be added to your Fee Note.

An introduction to lacrosse where we will look to build stick skills and learn some of the rules of the game. Students will be required to have a gum-shield to play as the ball is made of solid rubber and is passed at head height.

In this enrichment the children will work in the outdoor environment and work with a range of different equipment from natural objects, paints, chalks, oil pastels and much more to create their own masterpieces. Learn to use torque wrenches, mole grips, ratchets, spanners, screwdrivers and hammers by means of servicing a small car. Discover some real engineering about screw threads, bearings, gaskets, levers and oil. (Overalls and gloves will be provided.) The school has a small Daewoo car donated by Mr Dodd and working in two groups the pupils will carefully service the car for an MOT test.
